Money Mind story on REITs, AIMS AMP Capital Industrial REITs highlighted
This year investors have been drawn to REITs for their positive yield. Which REITs should they be looking at? REITs distribute at least 90% of their cash flow income to their unit holders; make a generally optimistic outlook for the section. OCBC Bank investment research professional recommends that investor should be looking at the industrial REITs for their high yields and out performance. It is also recommended that investors should switch from local retail REITs to office REITs due to their more compelling valuations and also their dividend yields.

Nicholas McGrath, CEO of the AIMS AMP Capital Industrial REIT's management said that there are 25 properties in the REITs that are high quality and 70% of the portfolio focuses on the warehouses, and the majority of the clients are large international logistic companies. He said that at the moment the RIETs properties are 99% occupied, above the average occupation rate of Singapore which is 94%. They are also focusing on utilisation of current assets. An example is the reconstruction of the Gul Way project.
